I don't even remember chases in the original games.Conatus Creative Inc. This ♥♥♥♥ makes absolutely no sense, design-wise. And buggy/unfair because the second time you get on the roof, the vent on the floor is already detected as a door, thus you fall in it but the guy you chase isn't there.Ĥx chasing a guy who magically comes back after having been chased, who only appears at night -for some reason-, and day has come up again. Unlogical, because the guy you just chased and managed to leave, reappears immediately on the roof (how & why?). Is there even a feel of satisfaction once you've caught the guy? No, only the one of having wasted our time, in something completely unfair, unlogical & buggy. But NO, here you have to chase him & suffer from those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bumping on walls because your guy moves "vertically" slower than the other guys. You would see the guy flee, but he wouldn't flee "realtime", he'd appear nearby once you'd have reached his screen. If this was a Nintendo game, this chase would be scripted. However it seems that the game has mercy (or it's a new bug) because after a few tries he appeared right at respawn, thank god.Įdit: WTF there is another of those frustrating chases RIGHT AFTER, and it's even worse because you have to wait for the night. Miss the pipe once and fall int he water once, and it's already over.įor the ones suggesting to go back instead of chasing him, it doesn't work, so maybe it was a bug that has been fixed. That chase is indeed terribly frustrating and unfair, because it uses game flaws (that are otherwise not really annoying), like how uninstinctive it is to enter the sewer pipe to start with, and then the double-tap-run that doesn't register if you do it too fast. But this alone made me hate this part of the game the most!!! Same for the other chase at the school rooftop. I actually managed to catch him in my 489372894729th try merely by running at him for some reason. What is your agility stat at right now?Īt the time of Tex it was around 35-40 if I'm not mistaken. )ĮDIT: I see you said that you are maxed out and over-leveled. The higher it is, the faster you go, the easier it is to catch the running kingpins. Just putting that out there in case you weren't aware. Your Agility stat influences your running speed. Are you actually supposed to chase him further after he climbs the ladder in the sewers? If not, how do you actually stop him? I loved this game so much but after things like these my patience is tried again and again until it finally breaks. I've tried everything from running after him, throwing weapons (which he blocks FOR SOME STUPID REASON) and even outrunning him since I am maxed out and overlevelled at this point.
